The Palms beat the Breakers 18-17 in New York and the Flight 23-10 in Dallas to finish 2-2, one tiebreak short of the playoffs. Next season starts early: the 2027 American Grid Trials run during Championship weekend in Lakeland, October 3 and 4.

The team
A Grid League roster carries up to 20 players, and five men and five women race at a time. Palms players specialize in strength, bodyweight or utility roles, and head coach Bryleigh Hansen decides who races what.
