MORE ABOUT THIS PLAYER

Grid League Career Introduction

Taylor Krippner is set to make her Grid League debut in 2025 as a key member of Houston’s new team. The United Grid League picked up Krippner specifically for her exceptional bodyweight skills, gained through nearly two decades of gymnastics training. As a rookie in the league, she’ll bring a fresh perspective and elite-level gymnastics background to the expanding Houston franchise. The team highlighted her signing during Women’s History Month 2025, noting how her mix of strength, agility and competitive experience made her an ideal fit for Grid’s fast-paced team format.

Elite Athletic Background

Gymnastics Career Highlights

Taylor spent 19 years dedicated to gymnastics, working her way up through the elite ranks. She qualified twice for Junior Olympics Nationals and won the 2015 JO National Beam Championship. Her early success included making it to the prestigious U.S. Classic as a junior elite gymnast in 2012. She trained at World Champions Centre in Texas under coaches Terry and Tamara Walker, where she developed the advanced skills that would serve her well in college gymnastics.

Auburn University Athletics (2016-2019)

At Auburn, Taylor quickly became a standout, earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors in 2016. She collected five individual event titles between bars and beam while consistently hitting high scores – including career bests of 9.925 on beam and 9.900 on both bars and vault. As a freshman, she helped Auburn win its first-ever NCAA Regional championship. She competed in nearly every meet of her college career, providing steady scores on three events. Her senior year peaked with a clutch 9.9 on bars at NCAA Regionals, capping off a successful four-year run with the Tigers.

Early Life & Development

Growing up in Cypress, Texas, Taylor came from a family that understood high-level sports. Her father Curt was a two-time All-American baseball pitcher at the University of Texas who got drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers. This athletic background helped shape Taylor’s competitive drive from an early age. She balanced intense gymnastics training with academics throughout her youth, setting high standards in both areas. At Auburn, she made the SEC Academic Honor Roll every year while majoring in Nutrition Science, showing the same dedication in the classroom as in the gym.

Professional Career Beyond Athletics

Education & Certifications

After graduating Auburn in 2019, Taylor earned a spot in Texas Woman’s University’s selective dietetic internship program. She completed her Master’s in Nutrition while logging over 1,200 hours of supervised practice. By 2021, she had passed her board exams to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, turning her passion for health into a career.

The Gymnastics Dietitian

Taylor created her own business combining her gymnastics expertise with nutrition knowledge. She launched The Gymnastics Dietitian to help young athletes fuel properly for their sport. Her 12-week Gymnastics Nutrition Academy teaches proper eating habits, injury prevention through diet, and healthy mindset strategies. The business quickly found success, reaching six-figure revenue by focusing specifically on gymnasts’ unique needs. She still coaches and choreographs at a local gym, keeping her connected to the sport while building her nutrition practice.

Personal Life & Character

Now based back in the Houston area, Taylor brings the same energy to her work that made her stand out as an athlete. At 5’1″, she packs plenty of strength into her small frame – a trait that should serve her well in Grid competition. She shares her life with her chocolate Lab and enjoys simple pleasures like country music and matcha tea. Her Instagram often features both her nutrition work and her continued fitness journey as she transitions into Grid athletics.

Impact & Influence

Taylor has created a unique path by merging elite athletics with healthcare expertise. She uses her platform to promote proper nutrition and positive body image in gymnastics, becoming the kind of mentor she wished she had as a young athlete. Through her business, coaching, and upcoming Grid career, she shows how athletic skills can translate into different arenas. Her story resonates particularly with young athletes looking to maintain a healthy relationship with sports and nutrition.
