FRENCH CROSSFITTER TRADES EUROPEAN COMPETITIONS FOR GRID’S AMERICAN STAGE

Alexia Perez-Miviere didn’t come to Fort Lauderdale for the beaches. The Strength Specialist from Mably, France, arrives at the Lions with credentials forged in CrossFit’s most demanding arenas. She competed at the 2024 CrossFit Games Quarterfinals for Europe and brings an OpenPowerlifting profile that underscores her depth in strength disciplines. At 5’7″ and 179 lbs, Perez-Miviere represents a different athletic lineage than many GRID recruits—one built on barbell precision and metabolic conditioning rather than traditional sports pipelines.

GRID marks a new frontier for the French athlete, her first venture into the league. The decision to compete stateside signals confidence in her ability to translate CrossFit’s varied demands into GRID’s team-based format. Her background competing for CrossFit DTSC in Europe provides a framework of high-level team competition, though the pace and intensity of American professional GRID will test her in ways the quarterfinals cannot. What remains to be seen is whether her strength foundation translates to the sport’s distinctive blend of compound movements, gymnastics, and conditioning.

The Lions roster gains an athlete with international credibility and technical mastery in the weight room. Perez-Miviere’s transition from European competition to GRID’s emerging landscape exemplifies the league’s growing global appeal.
