Florida Grid League Launches 2023 Season with Family-Friendly Fitness Expo

Miami, FL – The Florida Grid League is proud to announce the launch of their 2023 season with a spectacular opening event on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 at the Miami International Fitness Expo. This exciting race-based coed team sport blends movements from sports like Gymnastics, Weightlifting, and Strongman. Men and women compete side by side and head to head with various specialties and body types, working together in the ultimate expression of teamwork and strategy.

The Florida Youth Grid League teams will also be playing, with athletes ranging in age from 8-18. The mission of the Youth League is to provide opportunities for kids to participate in fitness while learning about co-ed teamwork, inspiring others, and developing confidence. 

“We are thrilled to partner with this Expo for our opening matches this year,” said Mather Wiswall, Commissioner of the Florida GRID League. “Anytime we can introduce the sport to new fans we see the excitement and joy they experience which inspires us!  It’s an easy sport to follow even for new fans, and we hear all the time how infectious the crowd’s excitement is.   It’s guaranteed to be a great way to spend a Saturday.”

The Florida GRID League launched in 2017 with its first season and has grown in popularity each year.  With 1 million social media followers and a popular YouTube channel @FloridaGridLeague fans from around the world find inspiration and excitement through watching the sport, finding the players they love, and supporting their favorite teams.  The only place to see it live  in Florida, so local fans are encouraged to take advantage!
