The First Ever In Person American Grid Trials
October 3 and 4, 2026 · Lakeland, Florida
The Trials have always been filmed and submitted online. At the 2026 Grid League Championships, prospects can take the tests in person for the first time. This is the tryout for the 2027 season.
Dates: October 3 and 4, 2026 (Saturday and Sunday)
Venue: RP Funding Center, 701 W Lime St, Lakeland, FL
Entry: Free with a weekend pass to the event
Spots: 40, first come, first served
What the American Grid Trials Is
The American Grid Trials is how you try out for the 2027 Grid League season. It is a competition and combine, and it is the best way to get signed by a Grid League team.
- A series of skills tests that take less than 4 minutes each.
- Each test has a different skill set focus: Strength, Bodyweight, Utility.
- Only perform the tests you choose.
- Each test has a cash prize.
- Grid League teams use the results to recruit their rosters for the 2027 season.
The online Trials are performed from anywhere in the world and submitted through the Pr.Fit app. That version is still running, and the next one takes place in January 2027.

What Is New
This year you can take the tests in person, at the Championships, on the floor.
Scores are recorded the same way they always have been and go to team owners for 2027 recruiting. Coaches could be watching while you test.
“The coach who decides whether to sign you could be standing a few feet away.”
The Advantage of the In Person Trials
Coaches, owners and current players spend the whole weekend in the building, and they are the people who fill 2027 rosters. Test well and you can introduce yourself to the person who makes that call before you leave the building.
You get to know the sport by watching it in person. There are four playoff matches and a championship across the two days, so you see exactly what a Grid roster asks for and where you fit into one.
Registration is included in the full weekend ticket price.
