How the American Grid Trials work
➡️ A series of 12 skills tests that take less than 4 min each. Each test has a different skill set focus (Strength, Bodyweight, Utility).
➡️ Players may submit results for as many tests as they like. There is no requirements for a minimum number of tests. Each test has a prize pool. There is no overall score. Results are entered online via the Pr.Fit app .
➡️ There is no separation between men and women. This speaks to our unique characteristic of having men and women together on the same team and oftentimes competing head to head in races. Some tests are altered for each to account for natural physical differences. Each alteration has been tested to show a generally even outcome.
➡️ Players may receive an invitation to sign with a team at any time.
Grid League is for a wide range of athletic types
Grid League players can specialize in certain movements or movements types… although may be well rounded as well.
This allows for a broader range of body types and specialist roles within the team.
Grid League players are not penalized for having a specific weakness as the team nature allows for players to focus on their strengths as the best means to contribute to the team performance.
Try something new. You might just find something very meaningful to you.
Grid League is more than a style of competition. It is a unique and powerful experience that many call life changing. It can even be profitable.
the opportunity
Few competitive experiences yeild similar opportunities when it comes to benfits outside of the competition itself.
Put your hard earned skills to work.

FAQ
Some of the most common questions we get asked in relation to playing on a Grid League team.
Do I have to lift crazy weight, or do those crazy flippy things I saw in IG?
No. The best way to think about it is, if there are certain movements or workouts that you are really good at (you usually beat your peers) there is a good chance a team could use that skill set. You’ll only be asked to perform high skill movements if they are in your wheelhouse.
Do I need to appreciate the team experience to play GRID?
Generally speaking, yes. You will have more fun and be more valuable to a team if you enjoy playing on a team. Past team sport players frequently say that GRID is even better than their previous sport when it comes to the team atmosphere. Players that are used to, or prefer competing alone sometimes find it stressful having to coordinate with others. That said, if you think you may appreciate the team atmosphere… GRID is one of the most rewarding experiences possible.
Do I have to be a specialist to be good at GRID?
No. One of the most important positions is a utility player that has a wide range of skills. The difference is that a player is not penalized for having a particular weakness. Players will only be asked to perform what they are good at, as that’s how they will best contribute to the collective team performance.
Do I have to be a good CrossFitter to be a good GRID player?
No. This is the most common misconception. While being good at CrossFit is valuable for some positions, many of our players do not CrossFit at all, and the vast majority have never podiumed at a competition. You never know what particular skill sets a team is looking for and it’s common for GRID players to focus on a few individual skills. If you are attracted to competition in a team atmosphere, you owe it to yourself to give it a shot. Challenge yourself and see what happens.
What is the general time requirement to play GRID?
That is dependent on the team. There will be a minimum of 4 matches this season (details to be announced) You do not necessarily need to be at every match and each match is about 2 hours. Practice and required preparation is up to the team and varies a lot. The chances are good that you will be able to find a team that can work within your normal training schedule, but you will need to speak to an individual team to make that determination.
What types of tests will there be for the Grid Trials?
There will be a wide range of test types featuring pure bodyweight, pure strength, and short metcons.
All will only take a few minutes at most, and the player can choose to do as many or as few as they like.
